2025 Summer Tennis Ladder
Looking to improve your game, meet new players, and enjoy the sunshine? Join our Summer Tennis Ladder! It's a fun and flexible way to play matches with others in the community, boost your tennis technique, and stay active over the summer break. All skill levels welcome – the more you play, the more you improve. Let's make this summer all about tennis, growth, and good times!

Entry Fee
$50 (must be submitted before June 15, 2025)
Reimbursement
$30 back if you play at least 5 official matches
How It Works
- Initial Rankings: Players will be seeded based on UTR ranking, initial video assessment (players send a short video of tennis playing to our officers for review) or previous match history
- Challenging Up: You may challenge any player above you in the ranking but we recommend challenging someone no more than five spots above you to ensure close competition
- Accepting Challenges: All challenges must be accepted within a reasonable time. If a player cannot accommodate, please notify an officer
- Scheduling Matches: Players are responsible for coordinating location and time together
Match Format & Reporting
- Standard Format: Matches should be best of 3 sets, with a 10-point tiebreaker if you split sets. Set is a standard 6 games set with ads, and 7-point tiebreaker if 6:6 tie. (Feel free to modify this if both players agree to it.)
- Photo Requirement: After each match, take one photo with two players together with file name: player1name_player2name_DateofMatch.jpg (more photos are encouraged to upload)
- Score Reporting: Fill out your score sheet shared with you by ATR and upload the two players photo to the shared folder (ATR will create a shared Google sheet and a shared folder for you.)
- Rankings Update: We'll update the rankings shortly after match reporting
Awards
At the end of the season, we'll be awarding the following:
- Most Matches Player: Recognition for the player who completed the most matches
- Most Improved Player: Award for the player showing the greatest improvement
- Top 3 Players: Recognition for the top 3 players who are not ATR seeding officers
